Alcatraz is the most infamous prison in the U.S. with some of the most notorious criminals of the time including Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly. Alcatraz prison is located in a large rocky island and surrounding is freezing water of San Francisco Bay so that the escape from this prison is difficult to achieve. Of the 36 prisoners attempted to escape, 23 people were arrested again, 6 people were shot or killed, and 2 drowned. The rest 5 were never seen again and it is thought that they might be sunk and there is no sign to recover their bodies.
